WHAT YOU DO

- Design your own funds. Theme, style, audience, holdings. A rating desk scores the launch and tells you why. Some combinations sing, some flop.
- Build a team. Analysts, marketers, relations, traders, compliance. They gain experience, get poached, burn out, and ask to run funds of their own.
- Survive the market. Bubbles, crashes, redemption runs, and the regulator. Keep the firm's own cash above zero.
